Tigers come up short against Atlanta, 48-35

by Nick Counts

As the fourth quarter got underway, the Daingerfield Tigers clung to a small 35-33 lead over the visiting Atlanta Rabbits.
During that time span, the exhausted Daingerfield defense fought with everything they had, but came up short as the Big Blue Tigers fall to the Rabbs 48-35.
The Tigers and Rabbits fought back and forth on defense during the majority of the quarter, however, with 4:53 left to go in the game, things looked to almost be a repeat of the previous game.

Tigers drop heartbreaker to Gladewater, 16-14

GLADEWATER – With less than a minute left to go in the ball game, Gladewater and Daingerfield are tied up at 14 and the Bears are on the press.
This is the time that the Blue Tigers are at their best.
Gladewater was heading for the win with a first down on the Daingerfield 11 when the Tiger defense fought back to take the game back into their hands.
On the first down play, the Bears quarterback Derrick Daniels stepped back to make a pass and was dropped eight yards in the back field by Keris Alexander.
Then again the on the next play Daniels was dropped for another loss on the second down play, this time by big Jamal Morrow with the aid of Kelshin Neal.
After a short gain on a running play from the Bears, the offense was forced to punt, giving the Tiger offense a shot to take the win.
Gladewater, however, successfully punted the ball deep into Daingerfield territory, pinning the Tiger offense on the one yard line.
