Infrastructure needs of college addressed at forum

By Marlene J. Bohr

Northeast Texas Community College administrators were met with over double the attendance in Daingerfield as was in the two previous public forums held in Mount Pleasant and Pittsburg. More than two dozen people attended the public forum held by the college at the Morris County Courthouse Annex on April 30.

“You at least doubled the turnout as the previous nights,” Dr. Brad Johnson, president of NTCC, said. “Part of the problem about the college is that people in the communities do not know about the college. It is an octopus with tentacles spread throughout the region. We are talking about our facility needs and we will ask for feedback from you.”

Dr. Johnson said the college was named to the list of United States’ fastest growing community colleges in the nation four years in a row.
