HOOKS – Daingerfield continues rolling in district play, as the Tigers defeated the Hooks Hornets on Oct. 20 to improve to 3-0 in district and 4-3 on the season.
For the second week in a row, the Daingerfield Tiger defense has shut out the opposition in the second half to pull away from Hooks and DeKalb. Meanwhile, the offense has scored 92 points over those last two games. Over three district games, the Tigers have outscored their opponents 147-40.
In typical Tiger fashion, Daingerfield won the toss and deferred to the second half. The Hornets opening drive stalled after gaining only six yards, and Daingerfield’s offense was quickly on the field. Neither team seemed too interested in lighting up the scoreboard, as the Tigers first drive also stalled out, followed by another Hooks punt.
